Grant Stain, Managing Director

Grant with the Le Mans liveried PorscheDAM is my baby so to speak having started the company back in 2001 after many years in the design business designing and account managing.  My aim back then was to run a design agency that offers great service, great value for money and above all great design, produced with an enthusiasm that really shines through.  I am pleased to say that I've been successfully doing that for nearly nine years now and I'm loving every minute of it!

My role at DAM Creative is client liaison, sales, and generally managing the business so if you're interested in anything we do you can talk to me.

We are always looking to be innovative in our field and the of launch of Archie backs up that claim, being of real use to many of our existing customers as well as appealing to new clients.  The potential for on-line ordering and amending will save time and resources for companies with many branches trying to order from a central point and at a fraction of the cost of other on-line software.

I'm really looking forward to our forthcoming racing in the Future Classics series in our trusty 944 prepared by our long time client Pro-9.  We're all hoping Dave and Bret the drivers can get some great results for us as well as showing to our motorsport clients we really do practice what we preach!

I look forward to hearing from you should you have any design requirements or questions about anything we're up to. Keep an eye on www.damcreative.co.uk as well for regular competitions and our latest work.

Grant.

David Cappendell, Financial Director

I have been involved with DAM Creative since September 2009. Since joining Grant and his team, I have set about refining the company to better meet the needs of our clients and achieve even better results for DAM.

The customer focus at DAM has always been second to none, this was one of the ideals that really excited me about the company having spent 30 odd years in the hospitality industry.

The team and I are really looking forward to the new year, not least of all for me as I have recently joined a local golf club, so am hoping that 2010 is the year I can get my handicap down to single figures!

Hope to see lots of new and old customers in 2010, (maybe for a round of golf) and to the country coming out of this goddam recession.

David Stokes, Creative Director

Formula Jedi Championship, Rockingham, 2006It's my job to get things like this web site up and running!

I'm the senior designer in the DAM studio with responsibility for the aesthetics of the jobs that come through the studio as well as branding the public face of the company as a whole. I'm also in charge of making sure all the bits of technology we use are happy and talking to each other.

Out of the studio, I like taking photos and engaging in all manner of motorsport and driving-related adventures. In the past few years these have included the Staples2Naples banger rally, getting my race licence and doing some actual racing, and most recently taking my road car over to the Belgian Grand Prix circuit at Spa for a trackday.

I'm clearly in good company at DAM with our many motorsport-related clients and promotions, not to mention the DAM Racing Porsche of which I'll be getting behind the wheel in 2010.

Helen Rich, Studio Manager

Overlooking Queenstown, New ZealandAs the Studio Manager at DAM my role is to make sure things run smoothly and efficiently within the design studio and to ensure all our clients are very happy with the unique service we provide. I also get my hands dirty designing as I am one of the senior designers at DAM Creative with a particular focus on our leisure clients in the hotel, restaurant and spa industries. These are areas I am passionate about and knowledgeable in. I also run the in-house photography studio which, though hectic at times, is another branch of the company which I love being part of.

Since joining DAM four years ago, I have seen the company design and produce some really aspirational material which the team and I are incredibly proud of. We have a very hands-on attitude here, ensuring that we produce only the best for our clients, and making sure every box is ticked.

We are a dedicated, enthusiastic and vibrant company which I am glad to be part of.

Carl Smith, Digital Manager

I'm a new arrival to the company for 2010.

I have over ten years commercial experience in web and other communication media, having worked for some high profile companies such as Pendragon, architect companies Alsop and Richard Rogers Partnership, Wisden Online, BBC Worldwide and Sky Sports.

I'm certainly excited about bringing my experience to the DAM Team and helping make all of our digital services even better in 2010. I'll also be helping Dave get all of those bits of technology working!

Barbara Cadd, Communications Director

I’m the new girl, having recently joined DAM to head up the marketing communications arm of the business. I’ve worked with Grant and his team for many years, mainly as their client so there’s no greater endorsement than joining them at this exciting stage of the company’s growth! My experience spans marketing, PR, internal communications and sponsorship working both in-house at top FTSE companies and leading international agencies.

My passion is working in partnership with clients to really understand their business challenges and then coming up with truly creative campaigns. Whether it’s about generating column inches in the national press or helping businesses develop their communications strategy, the most important thing is to deliver on targets in the most cost-effective way. DAM is a truly integrated agency with a really fresh approach to communications solutions.

Over the last few years I’ve had intense involvement in motorsport through heading up a British Touring Car team and also working in partnership with British Cycling as a sponsor of their most successful ever Olympic team. In my spare time I’m a bit of a property developer and like nothing better than getting stuck in to building houses although I draw the line at mixing cement!

Georgina Cappendell, Management Accountant

My husband David got me invoved with DAM. Having said that, I had to get back to work after having 5 years off!... looking after the children.

Really enjoyed getting back into it over the last few months, although the role is somewhat smaller than my last one - Financial Controller of National Express.

Grant and David tell me to watch this space!
